PURPOSE: To reduce the weight and size of a cradle and to simplify control by driving and controlling a bobbin which untwists a wire-shaped body in the cradle from the outside of a twisting machine by using a driving wheel group rotating coaxially with a spindle.

CONSTITUTION: Internally toothed gears 29 and 37 provided freely rotatably to a spindle 1 are connected by means of gears 30, 35 and a shaft 21 so as to make the same rotation; further internally toothed gears 49 and 57 are connected by means of gears 53, 56 and a shaft 54. A sproket 24 on the shaft 28 side of a cradle 6 is chain-driven with a wheel 25 on the gear 29 side to revolve the cradle 6 around the spindle 1 in one turn and to untwist a wire-shaped body 20. A belt wheel 59 on the gear 57 side is further driven by a motor 61 to rotate synchronously the belt wheel 52 on the gear 49 side and the belt wheel 48 at the shaft 39 end of the cradle 6 and a bobbin 7 is rotated by belt wheels 41, 43 and gears 45, 46, by which the letting-off speed of the wire body 20 is controlled. The reduction in the weight and size of the cradle and the simplification of the control system are thus made possible.
