Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a two-component developer with which images faithful to latent images and having high image densities, high resolution and high fineness reproducibility substantially free from fog are obtainable.
CONSTITUTION: The toners of the two-component developer having the magnetic carriers and toners to be used for a copying device consist of a binder resin and coloring agents. The weight average grain size of the toners is 4 to 8.5μm. The toner particles of ≤5μm are 17 to 80 number % and the toner particles of 6.35 to 10.08μm are 5 to 70 number %. The toner particles of ≥12.7μm are incorporated at ≤2.0vol.% in the toners. The toner particles of ≤5m satisfy the equation. N/V=0.05N+ k (where, N denotes the number % of the toner particles of ≤57μm, V denotes vol.%, k denotes a positive number of 4.6 to 6.7).
