Abstract:
To provide a two-component developer which suppresses contamination of image deletion and contamination of a charging member, and peeling of a resin coating layer of a carrier.SOLUTION: A two-component developer contains a toner and a magnetic carrier. The toner has inorganic particles present on the surface of toner particles, the inorganic particles carry resin fine particles thereon, the magnetic carrier has a resin coating layer present on the surface of magnetic carrier core particles, and the resin coating layer contains a nitrogen atom, a silicon atom, and a fluorine atom. In element analysis by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, (i) when a ratio of the nitrogen atom on the surface of the magnetic carrier is represented by N1, a ratio of the silicon atom is represented by Si, and a ratio of the fluorine atom is represented by F1, and (ii) when a ratio of the nitrogen atom at a position at a depth of 40 nm from the surface of the magnetic carrier is represented by N2, a ratio of the silicon atom is represented by S2, and a ratio of the fluorine atom is represented by F2, each expressions are satisfied. 0.10≤N1≤1.50; 0.30≤S1≤5.00; 45.00≤F1≤65.00; S1F2.SELECTED DRAWING: None
