PURPOSE: To improve the assembling in an engine wherein a throttle valve is controlled by the operation of a governor supported to an independent shaft parallel to a crankshaft, by supporting the crankshaft and the governor supporting shaft commonly to a side wall of a crankcase perpendicular to the crankshaft.
CONSTITUTION: In a two-cycle engine having a crankshaft 4 vertically supported, a crankshaft supporting wall 8 on the bottom side of a crankcase 1 is formed independently of the crankcase 1 and integrally with a mount seat 9 for an equipment (e.g., blade housing of a lawn mover). A crankshaft bearing 12 is fitted with the crankshaft supporting wall 8, and a recess 13 is formed aside the bearing 12. A shaft 14 parallel to the crankshaft 4 is provided to stand at the center of the recess 13 for rotatably supporting a governor 15. A governor surrounding wall 24 surrounding more than half of an upper surface and a side surface of a driven gear 21 of the governor 15 is integrally formed with the crankcase 1 in such a shape that a part of the crankcase 1 is expanded.
