Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make lubrication possible without an exclusive pump by supplying a lubricating oil around an intermediate transmission shaft by means of the rotaton of gears which connects tthe intermeidate transmission shaft for transmitting the torque of a crankshaft to an injection pump shaft with an oil pump shaft. CONSTITUTION:The torque of a crankshaft 22 is transmitted through a timing belt to a pulley 34 fixed on the top of an intermediate transmission shaft 30, and a bevel gear 37 fixed on the middle of the intermediate transmission shaft 30 engages with a bevel gear 38 fixed on the end of an injection pump shaft 27 to drive the injection pump 25. On the other hand, a crossed helical gear 52 fixed on an oil pump shaft 50 is engaged with a crossed helical gear 51 fixed on the lower end of the intermediate transmission shaft 30 to drive an oil pump 49. Therefore pumping action caused by the crossed helical gears 51, 52 makes forced-feed lubrication possible around the intermediate transmission shaft 30 located between the crankshaft 22 and the injection pump shaft 27.
