Title:
TWO-CYCLE MULTI-CYLINDER ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0587027
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a two-cycle multi-cylinder engine which can cover the variation of the number of cylinders and cylinder bore pitches in a wide range, and can realize the common use of parts and cost reduction.

CONSTITUTION: In a two-cycle multicylinder engine, fuel injection units 4 and damper housings 26 are connected to mount and demount freely with connecting members 27 and 28, while the fuel passages and air passages of the fuel injection units 4 and the damper housings 26 are put in two on both sides to the center line of a switch valve. As a result, the damper housings 26 are used commonly, and the number of cylinders and the variation of cylinder bore pitch can be dealt with by regulating the number and the length of the connecting members 27 and 28. Since the fuel passages and the air passages are put in two on both sides relative to the center line of the switch valve, the common damper housings 26 can be used also for an engine of a small cylinder bore pitch.
