Abstract:

To acquire a two-dimensional image of a radiation by detecting fluorescence subjected to wavelength conversion.

Grooves having a depth of a half or more of the thickness of a wavelength shifter plate are formed at intervals determined in the lateral direction and in the longitudinal direction on the upper surface of the wavelength shifter plate having a function for shifting a fluorescence wavelength to another wavelength, and a structure is formed, wherein optical fiber bundles are arranged into the grooves in the longitudinal direction, and reflecting materials for reflecting fluorescence are buried into the grooves in the lateral direction. Optical fiber bundles are arranged in the lateral direction which is a direction orthogonal to the optical fibers on the under surface of the wavelength shifter plate, and a radiation detector for generating fluorescence by a radiation is arranged on the upper surface. Fluorescence generated from the radiation detector is converted into another wavelength by the wavelength shift function of the wavelength shifter plate, and the fluorescence subjected to wavelength conversion is detected by the optical fiber bundles arranged in the grooves of the wavelength shifter plate and by the optical fiber bundles arranged on the upper surface or on the under surface, to thereby acquire a two-dimensional image of the radiation.
