PURPOSE: To provide a two dimensional transfer device which makes a workpiece transferable to a correct position and capable of miniaturizing it.

CONSTITUTION: A motor 21 equips a long sized pinion 22 which engages interlockablt only in the cross direction within the moving range in the vertical direction of a vertical slide body 16 with the rack 20 provided at a feed bar 11 side, in a two dimensional transfer device 10 composed by having the vertical slide body 16 reciprocated in the vertical direction by an actuator 17 and a feed bar 11 reciprocated in the same cross direction by the motor 21 by being supported movably in the cross direction orthogonal with the above vertical direction to the vertical slide body 16.
