Abstract:
PURPOSE:To eliminate a problem concerning the strength of a transmission mechanism, by automatically changing over a transfer clutch into a four-wheel drive side with the use of an associating mechanism associating with the change- over operation for changing over a shift mechanism in a speed change gear into the E/L (ultra low speed) position. CONSTITUTION:In a transfer housing 1, there are supported two parallel slide rods 2, 3 which are axially slidable, and which are slidably attached thereto with a shift fork 4 for changing over the drive mode between the two and four-wheel drive modes. Further, the slide rod 2 is coupled with an actuator in a two and four-wheel drive mode change-over control system. Meanwhile, in the vicinity of the slide rod 3, there are provided an E/L change-over control rod 10 which is axially retractable, and an associating lever 11 which is swingably journalled. One of arms 14 of the associating lever 11 is engaged in an engaging groove 13 in the E/L change-over control rod 10 while the other arm 14 thereof is engaged in an engaging groove 15 in a shift fork 9.
