Abstract:

PURPOSE: To carry out a stable ignition and combustion by a method wherein a fuel passage is divided and connected to the passage of inert material even if the amount of inert material is increased.
CONSTITUTION: The inert material supplied into a fuel valve by means of a control valve 16 during the stop period of fuel injection flows to the needle valve 11 side and divided injection pipe 21 side. When pressure feeding of fuel from a fuel injection pump 30 is started, the fuel in an oil sump part 12 is pushed out and the fuel in both passages on the sides of fuel and inert material pouring and the inert material are pushed out simultaneously and mixed with each other at the oil sump part 12 and then injected from a jetting nozzle 10. Since an area reduction valve 22 arranged at the pipe 21 is provided with a multi-step spring and with a multi-step valve opening pressure, the lift becomes large as the injection pressure becomes high and the opening area is increased. It is, thus possible to control timewise the injection of inert material and carry out a high efficiency combustion.
