Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the woven fabric used for paper making, excellent in surface smoothness and capable of improving the quality of the paper by filling depressions on the paper-making surface side woven fabric with auxiliary wafts and binding and integrating the paper-making side woven fabric with the travel surface side woven fabric.
SOLUTION: This two-layered woven fabric for paper making comprises the paper- making surface side woven fabric and the travel surface side woven fabric which are bound and integrated with each other. Therein, the long crimps of warps are formed on the paper-making surface side, and plural pairs of auxiliary wefts comprising polyamide monofilaments are arranged between the wefts, wherein each pair of the wefts comprises the two auxiliary wefts. When one of the two auxiliary wefts is woven with the paper-making surface side warps, the other is woven with the travel surface side warps. The woven parts are alternately exposed on the paper-making surface side to substantially fill the depressions of the paper-making surface side woven fabric with the auxiliary wefts and to bind and integrate the paper-making surface side woven fabric with the travel surface side woven fabric. Thus, the two- layered woven fabric smooth in the surface is obtained.
