PURPOSE: To provide two-module type amphibious automobile capable of traveling on any surface of the ground.
CONSTITUTION: This automobile is a two-module type amphibious automobile having two or more axles. Each module is constituted of a chassis and a watertight cabin which is freely attachably/detachably mounted on a base of the chassis. The lower part of the chassis is coupled with a suspension constituted of springs 12, 12a extended in a crossing direction to the longitudinal direction of the automobile. The outer ends of the springs 12, 12a are fixed to side members 9 on both the sides of the automobile. In an other method, each spring is constituted of a pair of spring half bodies 12, 12a which are divided into two in the width direction of the automobile and are aligned in the width direction and each spring half body 12, 12a can be made to have a constitution that each spring half body 12, 12a is freely slidably supported within a proper guide 17 so as to change a tread CA of a wheel within a prescribed range.
