To maximize the flexibility and efficiency of the use of two or more extremely compact capsuled electronic circuit cards from and in which data are read and written when those electronic circuit cards are inserted into the two or more sockets of a host system so as to be removed.
A command and a response signal are transferred between a host and a card by a single circuit commonly connected between the host and all sockets. When this system is initialized, the command and a state circuit are successively connected to each socket one by one such that it is confirmed that a relative card address is written in each card. Therefore, it is possible to provide a quick and simple method for setting the card address in the case of initialization. The host is configured to transfer data via at least two different data lines commonly connected to all the sockets to the card, and each card is configured to store a host readable instruction about the number of available parallel data lines. Thus, it is possible to increase a data transfer speed.
