Title:
TWO-POLARIZED MICROWAVE FUNDAMENTAL ANTENNA
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0669721
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the quality of polarized wave separation while reducing space and weight by providing a selective polarization resonance obstacle and a resonance block type resonance obstacle and letting both the obstacles have respectively specified functions in respect to plural microwaves. CONSTITUTION: An antenna, which can transmit or receive two different microwaves and makes these linearly polarized waves orthogonal, is composed of a cavity 1 including orthogonal exciting probes 4 and 6 and with its axial line 8 as a center, a selective polarization resonance obstacle 9 is installed between the probes 4 and 6. This obstacle 9 constitutes a short-circuitting plane to the wave radiated (received) by the upper probe 6 but forms a patch to the wave radiated (received) by the lower probe 4. Above the probe 6, a patch 13 forming a looped radiation groove 14 together with the cavity 15 is arranged and above that patch 13, a patch 15 is installed. This patch is transparent to an electric field wave related with the probe 4 and a patch is formed in polarization selective manner to a wave related with the probe 6.
