Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a bispecific antibody fragment recognizing a lymphocyte antigen CD2 and an arbitrary variable tumor antigen, and having tumor- inhibiting and tumor-dissolving activities. CONSTITUTION: This bispecific antibody fragment is represented by BAbY or BAbY (BAb is a bispecific antibody; X is an antibody determinant recognizing a tumor antigen; AICD2. M1 and AICD2. M2 are each a monoclonal antibody recognizing a CD antigen; Y is a part of the whole antibody). The bispecific antibody fragment comprises the first binding portion for binding to an epitope of a tumor cell, and the second binding portion for binding to the epitope of the CD2 antigen. A pharmaceutical preparation containing the fragment is useful for treatment of melanoma, neuroglioma, carcinoma, tumor in circulatory system, and solid tumor, etc.
