Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve foreign-matter intrusion prevention performance while possessing an axial fixing function which is equal to that of a conventional two-split snap ring.SOLUTION: A two-split snap ring 17 is composed of a pair of semi-circular snap ring divided bodies 19, 19. The snap ring divided bodies 19 are the same in shapes, and elastic members 20, 20 such as rubber are made to adhere to an inside diameter side of a neck part 11A and an outside diameter side of a neck part 11B. Shapes of the elastic members 20, 20 are formed so as to block a clearance of a connection part when the snap ring divided bodies 19, 19 are connected to each other. By expanding an outside diameter of the two-split snap ring 17 up to a level at which a slide part of a seal member of a bearing inner ring is covered, water and foreign matters do not directly reach a seal slide part, and high foreign-matter intrusion prevention performance can be exerted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
