To provide a two-stage compressor equipped with a low-stage side compressing mechanism and a high-stage side compressing mechanism capable of reducing the power required to drive the two-stage compressor.
The low-stage side compressing mechanism 41 and high-stage side compressing mechanism 42 of this two-stage compressor 30 are engaged with one drive shaft 50. A gas injection pipe 28 is connected with a connecting pipe 39 which ties an intermediate discharge pipe 37 of the low-stage side compressing mechanism 41 with an intermediate suction pipe 38 of the high-stage side compressing mechanism 42. The high-stage side compressing mechanism 42 sucks in the intermediate pressure refrigerant from both the low-stage side compressing mechanism 41 and the gas injection pipe 28. The low-stage side compressing mechanism 41 has a rear head 90 furnished with a low-stage side discharge port 93 and a high-stage side discharge valve 94, while the high-stage side compressing mechanism 42 has a front head 80 and a high-stage side cylinder 70, which are, respectively, furnished with high-stage side discharge ports 84 and 87 and high-stage side discharge valves 85 and 88.
