Abstract:
PURPOSE: To shorten the transverse width of a two-stage jack by providing a two-stage jack with a structure wherein it is made unnecessary to keep an installation space for a contact piece for a plug or a switch contact piece mechanism or a margin for sagging deformation of a contact piece by the side of a plug insertion space.
CONSTITUTION: A two-stage jack is provided with a first and a second insertion inlets 17, 18 arranged in two stages at a gap. Contact pieces 21, 22 for the first plug, which are sagged and deformed in a line arrangement direction A of the first and second two plug insertion inlet parts by bringing contact points 27, 27 into contact with an electrode of a plug P1 so set as to face to a first plug insertion space 25 and inserted into the plug insertion space 25, are installed in the first plug insertion space 25 communicated with the first plug insertion inlet 17 and in the line arrangement direction A. A contact piece 61 for the second plug, which is sagged and deformed in the line arrangement direction by bringing contact points 66, 66 into contact with an electrode of a plug P2 so set as to face to a second plug insertion space 64 and inserted into the plug insertion space 64 is installed in the second plug insertion space 64 communicated with the second plug insertion inlet 18 and in the line arrangement direction A.
