To provide a two-stage waste gasification system of waste capable of recovering metals and ashes present in waste in a state usable in recycling and also recovering a gas containing a large amount of CO and H2 to convert it into raw materials for chemical synthesis such as synthesis of NH3 (ammonia).
In the two-step waste gasification system comprising pyrolytically gasifying a raw material composed of waste a in a fluidized bed gasification furnace 1 at a low temperature, and introducing the resulting gaseous substance and char into a melting furnace 30 to effect gasification at a high temperature, a moving bed reservoir yard having a plurality of movable flat moving plates in parallel is provided in a raw material supply system 10 for supplying the raw material to the fluidized bed gasification furnace 1, and is constituted in such a manner that the plurality of the moving plates simultaneously move forward with the raw material loaded thereon and the plurality of the moving plates move forward and backward part by part in a time lag (1/4 τ) and the raw material is supplied by dropping on to downstream equipment with every backward movement of the moving plates.
