Title:
TWO-STEP LIQUEFACTION OF COAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5956488
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To shorten the time of liquefaction treatment, by mixing hydrogenated coal extract with a solvent and performing solubilization of the coal.
CONSTITUTION: Coal is mixed with a solvent and the mixture is heated at 430W 480°C for 2W5min to effect solubilization of the coal. The reaction product is hydrogenated in the presence of gaseous hydrogen and a catalyst so that a part of it may be converted into a light component. The hydrogenated product is distilled and a distillate containing fractions with a boiling point of 450°C or higher is added to solvent for coal.
