Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a two-tone signal having smaller frequency intervals with respect to frequency of an optical signal with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A two-tone signal generator for generating an optical two-tone signal using laser beams, comprises a first TTG 23 for generating an optical two-tone signal having first frequency intervals using laser beams, an LPF 24 for removing an upper-side band wave from the optical two-tone signal generated by the first TTG 23, a second TTG 25 for generating an optical two-tone signal having second frequency intervals different from the first frequency intervals using an optical signal outputted from the LPF 24, and an HPF 27 for removing a lower-side band wave from the optical two-tone signal generated by the second TTG 25. The two-tone signal generator outputs the optical two-tone signal composed of the laser beams and the optical signal outputted from the HPF 27.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
