Abstract:
PURPOSE: To realize a mechanism, by which the connection between a rotation driving power supply and an output shaft can be automatically disengaged by a mechanical structure when the rotation driving power supply is stopped.
CONSTITUTION: A two-way clutch comprises an inner ring 1, an outer ring 2 as an output shaft, plural rollers 3 interposed between the outer peripheral surface of the inner ring 1 and the inner peripheral surface of the outer ring 2 as torque transmitting member, and a retainer 4 as an input shaft. The retainer 4 is connected to a motor 7 serving as a rotation driving source through a worm and wheel mechanism 6. A shaft member 8 has one end part friction- fixed to a casing 5 in the rotating direction by a braking member 9, whereby only when a larger rotating force (rotating torque) than the braking force produced by the friction of the braking member 9 is received, the shaft member can be rotated for the casing 5. A viscous fluid, for example, a high viscosity fluid 10 such as silicone oil or the like is enclosed in a gap between the inner ring 1 and the shaft member 8, and sealed in the gap by a seal 11.
