To provide a tying band made of plastic used in tying various kinds of objects wherein engagement by fastening is reliable and unfastening is also easy.

A tying band made of plastic comprises a tall band fixing part 3 connected to a base end of a narrow band body 1 via a slope 2, a band insertion hole 4 provided in a widthwise direction for allowing the band body 1 to be inserted from a tip 1', which is vertically bored on the band fixing part 3, an opened space 5 opening through an upper face to a lower face formed on a front side of the band insertion hole 4, and a beam 6 laterally bridged under the opened space 5 along the band insertion hole 4. A claw 8 formed with a locking claw 7 from a protruding slope (a) and a horizontal upper face (b) at the base end side is made to stand on the beam 6, a tip end of the horizontal upper face (b) of the claw 8 is extended close to a tip side of the opened space 5 to have a release operation piece 9 for separating the locking claw 7 from the end protruding upward, and a locking recess 10 to be engaged with the locking claw 7 is contiguously placed with a lower face of the band body 1.
