Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I [Me is methyl; Et is ethyl; R1 is H or acyl; R2 is H or formula II (R3 is H or alkyl; R4 is H, alkyl, substituted phenyl, etc.); X is H and Y is formula Iv in formula III or X and Y together form =O, =N-O-R7, etc.; R5 to R7 are alkyl or aryl; R5 and R6 together may form a heterocyclic ring in formula IV].
EXAMPLE: 4"-O-Acetyl-3"-deoxy-2",3"-didehydrotylosin.
USE: An antimicrobial agent, excellent in antimycoplasma activity and antiporcine dysentery bacillus activity and useful also as a feed additive.
PREPARATION: A 3,20-O-cyclo-20,2',4",4",-tetra-O-acyl-3"-deoxy-2",3"- didehydrotylosin is selectively deacylated and the resultant product is then deacylated.
