PURPOSE: To simply measure tyramine within a short time with good sensitivity by using an oxygen column showing specificity only to tyramine and an oxygen or hydrogen peroxide electrode.
CONSTITUTION: A carrier liquid tank 1 is connected to a peristaltic pump 4 through a communication pipe and a sample injector 3. A tyramine oxydase immobilized column 5 is provided in a thermostatic tank 6 and a measuring flow cell 7 measures the amount of oxygen in a sample by an oxygen electrode. Further, a current/voltage converter 8 and a microcomputer 9 are provided. A tyramine sensor is constituted by combining the electrode with a column wherein tyramine oxydase derived from Micrococcus luteus and partially purified is immobilized by glutaraldehyde according to a covalent bond method using glass beads as a filler. Flow velocity is kept constant by the pump 4 and constant temp is kept by the thermostatic tank 6 to generate reaction and the measured value due to the oxygen electrode in the measuring flow cell 7 is processed by the microcomputer 9 through the converter 8.
