Title:
ULTRAHIGH TEMPERATURE HOT-FORGED NON-HEAT-TREATED PART, AND ITS PRODUCTION METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004360070
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an ultrahigh temperature hot-forged non-heat-treated part with a complicated shape which has high strength and high toughness even if quenching and tempering are obviated by an ultrahigh temperature hot forging method capable of improving the yield of the material and capable of securing the service life of a die.

The ultrahigh temperature hot-forged non-heat-treated part has prescribed components and has a microstructure of ferrite and pearlite. In the surface layer part of a forging in the range from the surface to 1/20 of the thickness, the ferrite fraction Fs is 0.15 to 0.7, and the average ferrite grain diameter ds is 5 to 20 μm. In the central part of the forging in the range from the center of the thickness in the forging to 2/5, the ferrite fraction Fc is 0.1 to 0.6, and the average ferrite grain diameter dc is 10 to 30 μm. Also, Fs/Fc is 1.05 to 1.40, and ds/dc is 0.80 to 095.
