To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus equivalently applying appropriate delay not only to a signal component near the center frequency but also to a signal component separate from the center frequency by applying the phase rotation with a multiplier to ultrasonic receiving signals.
The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus comprises an ultrasonic transmission/receiving means for transmitting/receiving ultrasonic pulses to/from a subject by using a plurality of ultrasonic vibrators; a delay addition circuit for adjusting the time and adding a plurality of receiving signals of a plurality receiving channels i received by the plurality of ultrasonic vibrators; and an image data-generating means for generating ultrasonic image data from the receiving signals generated by the delay addition circuit. The delay addition circuit is configured to perform the phase rotating process with at least two multipliers Mi1 and Mi2 using reference signals Ri1 and Ri2 with the same frequency and different phases for the receiving signal of a single receiving channel i.
