Title:
ULTRASONIC EXCITER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3769735
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an ultrasonic exciter which generates vibration displacement on the surface of a vibration needle by consisting of this ultrasonic exciter of a piezoelectric vibrator, a diaphragm and the vibration needle and propagating the vibrations of this piezoelectric vibrator via this diaphragm to the vibration needle.
CONSTITUTION: The vibrations are piezoelectrically excited by the piezoelectric vibrator 1 when a composite consisting of the piezoelectric vibrator 1, the diaphragm 2 and the vibration needle 3 is driven by using a self-excited driving circuit. Since the structure to fix the diaphragm 2 integrally continuously with the one front end face of the piezoelectric vibrator 1 is adopted, the diaphragm 2 vibrates in the form of having the joint region with the piezoelectric vibrator 1 as a stationary end according to the vibration of the piezoelectric vibrator 1. The vibrations of the diaphragm 2 vibrate the vibration needle 3 to generate vibration displacement on the surface of the vibration needle 3. As a result, the simple structure, the small size and light weight, the simple circuitry, feasibility of driving with low voltage at low electric power consumption and a wide application range are resulted.
