Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic flaw detection method which does not generate an erroneous detection though minimizing a non-detection flaw region even when a shape of a boundary echo is changed.SOLUTION: The ultrasonic flaw detection method includes: a condition setting step of setting a boundary echo detection threshold value at a positive side and a negative side; a flaw detection signal acquisition step of acquiring a flaw detection signal; a boundary echo detection step of detecting a boundary echo detection time at the positive side and the negative side of the flaw detection signal; a reference time selection step of selecting any time among the boundary echo detection times at the positive side and the negative side as a reference time; a flaw echo detection gate setting step of setting an end point of a flaw echo detection gate by subtracting a predetermined time from the reference time; and a flaw echo detection step of performing a detection of the flaw echo using an amplitude of the flaw detection signal inside the flaw echo detection gate.
