Abstract:
To improve the SN of received signals and the measuring accuracy of a flow-meter provided with a pipeline in which a fluid flows and a plurality of ultrasonic transducers disposed along the pipeline, by attenuating ultrasonic waves propagating along a pipe wall made of a hard material such as stainless steel or glass.
The flow-meter is constituted so that a vibration absorptive layer of a metal foil wound around the outer side of a pipeline made of a hard material such as stainless steel or glass through a soft resin layer, absorbs ultrasonic oscillations propagating through the pipe wall in the absorptive layer to attenuate the oscillations.
