To provide an ultrasonic flowmeter that automatically corrects a difference between an actual dimension of a measurement flow path and a flow path dimension for flow rate calculation preset at a control unit, without making flow rate actually pass.
The ultrasonic flowmeter includes a measurement flow path 1, a pair of ultrasonic vibrators 2, 7 capable of transmitting and receiving an ultrasonic signal, a propagating time measurement unit 5 for measuring a propagating time required for the ultrasonic vibrator 7 to receive an ultrasonic signal received from the ultrasonic vibrator 2, a control unit 4 for determining a flow rate from the propagating time, a received-waveform amplitude measurement unit 9 for measuring an amplitude of a received waveform received by the ultrasonic vibrator 7, and a measurement flow path dimension correction unit 11 for correcting a measurement flow path dimension from a difference between the amplitude and a normal amplitude of received waveform to correct a dimensional difference between the actual measurement path 1 and a measurement flow path for flow rate calculation preset at the control unit 4.
