Abstract:
It is possible to reduce the detection error of a zero cross point of a reception wave by a 1.5-time reciprocating noise which is reflected twice by a wave transmission/reception device and reciprocates by 1.5 times between the wave transmission/reception device and an opposing wave transmission/reception device before received by the wave transmission/reception device of the reception device. The accuracy of a flow meter is increased. The wave transmission/reception device of the transmission side is arranged on a leftward extension of the center axis X-X of the wave transmission/reception device (18). When an ultrasonic pulse from this wave transmission/reception device of the transmission side not depicted comes like arrows A and B onto a reflection surface (7b) of a circular cone at the front of an acoustic rectifier layer (7A) of the wave transmission/reception device (18), the pulse is reflected like arrows A' and B' in directions different from the center axis X-X. Accordingly, the reflected waves A' and B' do not come into the wave transmission device of the transmission side, not making a 1.5-time reciprocating noise. Ultrasonic wave coming like arrows C and D is reflected with a large angle in directions C' and D', not making a 1.5-time reciprocating noise.
