Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic gas meter capable of determining dew condensation while saving costs.SOLUTION: A ultrasonic gas meter 40 comprises: transducers TD1 and TD2 intermittently transmitting an ultrasonic signal into a gas passage and receiving the ultrasonic signal; an amplifier 43a for amplifying the signal received by the transducers TD1 and TD2 to predetermined intensity; and a CPU 14a for determining generation of dew condensation in a meter passage, when amplification degree provided by the amplifier 43a is monitored for every predetermined time, and the monitored amplification degree changes from an initial value by a predetermined value or more, and for updating the initial value with the amplification degree provided by the amplifier 43a, when the amplification degree provided by the amplifier 43a is within a prescribed range with respect to the initial value.
