To provide an ultrasonic machining device and a method capable of machining a workpiece of a tool, while accurately controlling pressurizing force for the workpiece, and improving accuracy of machining amount (machining depth).
An elevating/lowering table (feed table) 11 of an ultrasonic perforating device (ultrasonic machining device) 1 has a base part frame 29 fixed on a movable table 10 and an elevating/lowering frame 31 provided freely ascendable/descendable via a linear guide 50 on the base part frame 29. An air cylinder type lift cylinder 30 is mounted on the base part frame 29. A distal end of a cylinder rod 32 is connected to the elevating/lowering frame 31. The linear guide 50 is constituted so that friction with the base part frame 29 may be reduced. A lift cylinder 30 is a low sliding type (feed resistance ≤10g) and is constituted so that friction of a piston and a cylinder case may be reduced.
