Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid disturbance caused by an ultrasonic signal transmitted through a measuring tube in ultrasonic flow rate measurement for a flow medium as sufficiently as possible, by improving a measuring instrument of a type in which the measuring tube and at least one transmission and/or receive head are provided, in which the head has a easing and an ultrasonic converter, and in which the ultrasonic signal is transmitted into the flow medium by the ultrasinic converter or the ultrasonic signal is received from the flow medium, in an ultrasonic flow rate measuring instrument for the flow medium worked according to a passing velocity method. SOLUTION: An attenuator 5 provided with at least one attenuation member 6 is arranged to surround the casing 3 of the transmission and/or receive head 2 by side parts to contact at least partially with the casing, and the attenuator 5 is provided inside a cut-out part 7 of the measuring tube 1.
