Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an ultrasonic measuring instrument which can measure a phase-corrected complex V (Z) curve by detecting a phase change caused by a direct distance Z change irrespective of the frequency.
CONSTITUTION: In this ultrasonic measuring instrument, a recessed section in which ultrasonic waves are converged to a small spot at the time of measurement and a plane section are provided in the transmitting-receiving section of an acoustic lens 26. A phase change caused by the relative change of the distance between the lens 26 and a sample 28 is directly measured from the phase of plane waves transmitted from the plane section to the sample 28.
