Abstract:
To ease the mounting of an acoustic coupler to an ultrasound probe and also to ease the cleaning work even when an excessive amount of echo jelly is applied.SOLUTION: The ultrasound probe coupler is mounted to an acoustic radiation surface side of the ultrasound probe to interpose an acoustic propagation medium between the coupler and the ultrasound probe. The ultrasound probe coupler comprises a structure for moving the acoustic propagation medium to outside the transmission range and the reception range of the acoustic radiation surface, and a structure for determining the relationship between the coupler and the ultrasound probe.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
