To prevent individual wires from developing a short circuit with the side surface of the laminated piezoelectric element because of protruding of a conductive adhesive used in connecting the individual wires in the ultrasonic probe having zigzag connection of the individual wires pulled out of a piezoelectric body.
The individual laminated piezoelectric elements contain laminated structure bodies laminated with a plurality of piezoelectric body layers and internal electrodes, a first and a second flat electrodes formed at both ends of the laminated structure bodies, the first and the second side surface electrodes formed on the first and the second side surfaces of the laminated structure bodies, an insulation film formed at the second side surface side of the laminated structure bodies, and a wiring member connected to the first flat surface electrode using a conductive adhering material at one end of the laminated structure bodies. In the first laminated piezoelectric element, the wiring member is installed at the second side surface side of the laminated structure bodies and the insulation film separates electrically the second side surface electrode from the conductive adhering material. In the second laminated piezoelectric element, the wiring member is installed at the first side surface side of the laminated structure bodies.
