Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved technology related to a structure of an ultrasonic probe equipped with a two-dimensional array vibrator.SOLUTION: A back face of a backing member 20 is provided with multiple lead electrodes to be electrically connected to multiple leads 24. The multiple lead electrodes constitute a two-dimensional lead electrode array. On a front face on the backing member 20 of a relay board 40 constituting a signal processing layer, multiple signal electrodes are provided. The multiple signal electrodes constitute a two-dimensional signal electrode array. Then, the multiple lead electrodes provided on the back face of the backing member 20 and the multiple signal electrodes provided on the front face of the relay board 40 are electrically connected through multiple bumps 30. The multiple bumps 30 are arranged between the multiple lead electrodes and the multiple signal electrodes. The multiple bumps 30 constitute a two-dimensional bump array.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
