Abstract:
To prevent a grind stone from falling off from a rotary shaft of a spindle due to ultrasonic excitation in an ultrasonic tool which is mounted on a grinding spindle that rotates at high speed and in which ultrasonic vibration is applied in an axial direction of the rotary shaft of the spindle.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic tool 50 is mounted on a tip portion of a spindle of an ultrasonic machine which has a spindle driven to rotate and an ultrasonic vibrator mounted on the spindle for generating ultrasonic waves. While making a rotary motion, the ultrasonic tool 50 receives ultrasonic vibration in a direction orthogonal to the rotary motion. The ultrasonic tool is composed of a metal quill and a grind stone 54 having one end engaged with the quill. Groove parts 543, 569 are formed in respective fitting parts of the quill and the grind stone. The groove parts are adhered by a metal-containing adhesive agent 60, and the grind stone and the quill are formed so as not to be separated after solidification of the adhesive agent.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
