Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an ultrasonic wave detecting device which can be used to actuate a window cleaning device by reliably detecting that water sticks to a window.
CONSTITUTION: A transducer 10 is provided to generate a reflected signal corresponding to a reflected pulse by receiving this by irradiating an ultrasonic wave pulse to a window 1. A detecting device is provided with an amplifier means 23 to amplify this reflected signal by selected gain, an integrating means 26 to generate an integral value by integrating respective reflected signals only for a selected time and amplifier control means 27 and 28 to select gain so that the integral value maintains a steady value by measuring this integral value, and is provided with a means 29 to judge whether or not temporary deviation is not larger than a predetermined threshold value by measuring temporary deviation from a steady value of the integral value.
