Abstract:
PURPOSE: To accurately indicate the flow information by computing the product of the velocity of the flow or the absolute value and the power, and converting the product into a display value so as to indicate it as an image, in an object which acquires the velocity of flow and the power, based on an ultrasonic echo signal.
CONSTITUTION: An ultrasonic echo signal being obtained by an ultrasonic probe 1 and a transmitter-receiver 2 is inputted into an orthogonal wave detector 4, and the ingredients 1 of the same phase as orthogonal ingredients Q are outputted. Needless ingredients are removed from each ingredient Q and 1 with MT filters 9 and 10, and then they are inputted into a self correlation, etc., operating part 11, which computes the velocity v of the flow and the power P. Next, a multiplier 12 computes the product R of the absolute value of the velocity v and the power P, and a DSC 13 converts the velocity v of the flow, the power P, and the product R into indication values (color and brightness), and besides it performs secondary mapping, according to the position of the sampling point, and produces CFM image data, and indicates it on a CRT 14.
