Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a size smaller and weight lighter while suppressing the generation of excessive parasitic vibrations and making the vibration amplitude over the entire part of an output surface uniform.
SOLUTION: This ultrasonic wave generator has a vibrator part 1 for generating ultrasonic vibrations and horns 2 for amplifying the vibrations of the vibrator part 1 in which the length adding the lengths of the vibrator part 1 and the horn 2 is nearly half the wavelength of the generated ultrasonic waves. The plural horns 2 are parallel mounted to the vibrator part 1 and the output sides of the respective horns are connected by resonance plates 3. The output sides at the front ends of the plural horns are connected by the resonance plates 3 in the manner described above, by which the generation of the parasitic vibrations is suppressed and the vibration amplitude over the entire part of the output surface is made uniform.
