Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method that can easily and inexpensively manufacture an ultrasonic wave vibrator having an anisotropic directivity and to provide an ultrasonic wave vibrator that can maintain excellent enclosing performance even for use for a long time.
SOLUTION: A piezoelectric element 8 is placed to an inner face of an enclosed face 1a of a case body 1 where one end face is open and the other end face is closed. In the ultrasonic wave vibrator A of a waterproof type having an anisotropic directivity for an ultrasonic wave generated from the enclosing face 1a, the case body 1 consists of a metallic case 2 made of a metal-made plate material 13 and of a resin case 3 made of a synthetic resin material. A coating film 17 is formed to an outer face of the enclosed face 1a of the case body 1 and a coating film 17 coats a joined part between the metallic case 2 and the resin case 3 appearing at the enclosing face 1a.
