To provide an ultrasonograph which clearly displays structures of tissues while reducing speckles in ultrasonographic images.
The ultrasonograph includes a data array processing part 22, which includes a smoothing processing part 24, a boundary detection processing part 26, and a synthesis processing part 28. The smoothing processing part 24 selectively applies directional smoothing processing and non-directional smoothing processing to entered data. The boundary detection processing part 26 performs directional secondary differential filter processing on the entered data. The synthesis processing part 28 synthesizes data acquired by each processing and thereby creates the synthesized value by this. Consequently, the ultrasonograph reduces the speckles by the smoothing processing and makes the structure of tissues clear by the detection of the boundary.
