To obtain an ultraviolet curable protective film composition having good protective performance in a high temperature and high humidity durability test in a photorecording medium having Ag or a metal and/or an alloy whose major component is Ag as a reflective film, and a photorecording medium using this composition.

The photorecording medium is obtained by laminating a cured film of an ultraviolet curable composition which is a 1 wt.% methanol solution of an ultraviolet curable composition having a pH of 4.5-6.8 as the protective film on a reflective film.
