Abstract:
To provide an ultraviolet-curable white ink composition, which has excellent ejection stability and excellent visibility of printing on a base material having a black or dark background, for inkjet recording.
The ultraviolet-curable white ink composition for inkjet recording comprises titanium oxide, a dispersant, an ultraviolet-curable composition, and a photopolymerization initiator. The titanium oxide is surface-treated with silica and alumina, and an amount of silica used in the surface treatment is larger than that of alumina. The polymeric dispersant has a basic polar group as an absorbing group. Desirably, a photopolymerizable compound dissolving the polymeric dispersant is contained.
