Title:
ULTRAVIOLET DESK LAMP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH11213731
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To confirm that an ultraviolet lamp is in a stand-by state in which a fluorescent indication paper surface can be observed by facilitating the confirmation of whether the ultraviolet-ray lamp is lit or not, and prevent the ultraviolet-ray lamp from being left turned on.

This desk lamp is equipped with a lamp body 10 including an ultraviolet lamp 11 and a shade 12 covering the upper hemispherical side of the ultraviolet-ray lamp 11. A filter 20 is so installed on the shade 12 as to protrude from the shade 12. A stand 30 to hold the lamp body 10 and the filter 20 on the surface of a desk is provided. An ultraviolet-ray desk lamp used to observe a fluorescent indication paper surface 100 on the surface of the desk through the filter 20 from a position higher than the filter 20 is composed of those parts. Installed in a part of the shade 12 is a fluorescent indication part 17 that receives and excites the ultraviolet rays inside the shade 12 and outputs visible light rays L5 thereby produced toward the outside of the shade 12. Because the visible light rays L5 are output when the ultraviolet lamp 11 is lit, whether the lamp is lit or not can easily be determined even from the higher position.
