Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet irradiator capable of timely removing deposits without consuming electric power for the same.SOLUTION: A hollow cylindrical casing (reactor) 1 includes a treatment water inflow hole 1a and an outflow hole 1b. A rod-shaped ultraviolet lamp 2 is configured at the center of the interior of the casing 1. The ultraviolet lamp 2 is housed within an ultraviolet lamp protective tube 3 consisting of an ultraviolet-permeable material so as to avoid the invasion of the treatment water. A blade-fitted cleaning brush 4 having a center hole through which the ultraviolet lamp protective tube 3 is scheduled to be inserted is configured in the interior of the casing 1. The blade-fitted cleaning brush 4 can slide along the ultraviolet lamp protective tube 3 and rotate on the ultraviolet lamp protective tube 3 and removes deposits by cleaning the surface of the ultraviolet lamp protective tube 3 and the inner wall of the casing 1.
