To provide an ultraviolet light-curable coating composition which controls the dissolution of stearic acid of a leafing type surface-treating agent and can form coating films scarcely changing the masking appearance and the bright appearance.

The ultraviolet light-curable coating composition is characterized by comprising (A) aluminum pigment subjected to a surface treatment using stearic acid, (B) an ultraviolet light-polymerizable substance, (C) a photopolymerization initiator, and (D) stearic acid in an amount of 0.1 to 10 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the total amount of the components (A), (B) and (C).
